I’m an artist that focuses on fantasy-based figurative effects, also known as eFX. Knight Image Designs began out of my love for this art form and the challenge of eFX creation, as well as designing, sculpting, and molding new creatures from scratch. I’m inspired by classic Hollywood horror monsters and iconic movies, such as Frankenstein, Star Wars, and Alien. My work has been featured in top Hollywood blockbusters like Spider-Man: No Way Home and Shang-Chi and The Legend Of The Ten Rings. Over the years I’ve had the pleasure of recreating iconic movie monsters, beloved comic characters, and well-known dinosaurs from the Jurassic Park series.
I’ve worked on eFX since graduating high school. I started working in Hollywood at the age of 18, working under acclaimed eFX artist Jose Fernandez and his company, Ironhead Studio. During my time there, I sculpted, molded, casted, and fabricated props for iconic movie monsters and characters, some of which were used in movies like Godzilla vs Kong, Aquaman, and Top Gun: Maverick. I’ve also had the pleasure of working on hit TV shows like WandaVision (Marvel), The Tick (Amazon), Watchmen (HBO), Batwoman (CW), Jupiter’s Legacy, and season 2 of The Mandalorian.
I enjoy making creations that are unique, odd, and just plain cool. I also dabble in filmmaking and have produced several short films, including my most recent feature, Good Night Neighbor, based on an original short story. I’ve had the opportunity to work with some amazing people on projects that range from sculpture, painting, cosplay, and fabricating, to concept art and even toys.
With my work, I want to give people a chance to join me on a journey as I create a piece from start to finish, and slowly bring a character to life through the magic of eFX. As a result, I hope in creating these pieces for people, that they feel as though they have their own little piece of movie history. Through Knight Image Designs, I also hope to inspire others to create their own works of art.
